I'm a Gen X. I like gadgets, the internet, photography, dogs, aeroplanes, coffee, and making TV. Sometimes I find it hard to take stuff seriously.

My father always told me that intelligence never made anyone happy -- you need a good heart and good friends. What he never said because it was the water in the fishbowl, was that you have to work hard. I don't do this for the money, which makes it easy to take intelligent risks. I do it for a yolk to pull against, for the purpose, and the journey, and the company along the way. I want to do good, and doing well should follow. I am a polymath, a generalist, and an idea person -- but I'm good, historically, at bringing ideas to fruition. And then I want to find the next thing. Henry Jenkins' group at MIT is the only thing that's ever made my resume make sense. I argue to refine ideas, but I do listen, and I am malleable, teachable. I am often intense, but not as arrogant as they say I am.

My personal and overall goal is to become independent - hopefully with my own small scale company or even a couple. Currently I am working as a Futurist at The Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies, with experience within Creativity and innovative processes, User driven innovation, social media, city scapes, technology visions and the future Internet as well as extensive research in gender mainstreaming for the EU within the 6th and 7th framework programme.
I am working towards convergence within several of my fields of interests, combining city scapes with social media and technology studies. In addition I am gaining knowledge about c++, html/html5, SEO.
I am an avid writer - journalism, reports and the social media are great playgrounds for developing my own style.

I am a young man from Latin America with no clear goal in life beyond basic sustenance and a few vague ambitions, looking for a purpose in life.
I rejected the traditional ideas of success and so-called "self-making" and adopted a new, more relative and laid-back perpective, with the collateral effect that I don't know where I'm standing anymore. That is why I am in need of a mentor. At least one of many reasons.
My main interest revolves around technology, more specifically the internet and its workings. The same can be said of the human mind as an individual and in society. I find them both interesting.
I'm currently interested in taking up a freelance job or similar labor over the internet, since I'm just about to enter university and therefore my free time is going to be very limited. And because it intrigues and interests me.
As an aside, I intend to be a novel writer in the future, since I have a fondness for all things fiction and philosophy.
I'm closing this with the hopes of finding a like-minded individual with more experience than me that can guide me in this brave new world.
